Steel Valley Ambulance
464.400 / 469.400 repeater – 114.8 PL ( WNCY371 )
464.400 is licensed to West Penn Communications, which operates a multi-user business repeater on 464.400 that separates the various agencies via differing PL/DPL tones.
Steel Valley Ambulance in Munhall has a presence on this repeater
Been monitoring SV the past few days – basically they identify as “Steel valley Dispatch” to “medic xxx” and are operating in and/or around Pittsburgh.

First Student – school transportation company
464.625 / 469.625 repeater – 136.5 PL ( WPOB507 )
Confirmed yesterday listening to them dropping off students in Carrick / Crafton. Since there is an FCC for First Student on this frequency in Allegheny Co and First Student is a common school bus transportation provider, there is no reason not to believe that this is First Student.

GG & C Bus Company – providing school transportation (for Washington School District on this frequency)
451.325 / 456.325 repeater – 103.5 PL ( WQFK788 )
Washington School District in Washington PA contracts bus transportation for K-8 to GG&C. It is very popular in WPA to hear active GG&C frequencies handling school bus transportation for various school districts [thus the existence of another GGC freq in Washington Co already).
This one was identified today when the dispatcher came on and gave an announcement:
“Washington School District drivers, school will resume back on January 5th, teachers ONLY will resume back on the 4th”

464.7625 / 469.7625 repeater – 114.8 PL ( KNNU444 )
464.8125 / 469.8125 repeater – 103.5 PL ( KNNU444 )
If you look at all of the licenses, there are more frequencies on the licenses than are listed here. I’ve only listed those that are confirmed by me. Keep in mind that although there is repeater activity on the frequencies above, they are also used in simplex mode. So if you are really into monitoring WSX you should certainly plug in all frequencies from all licenses. Also, there may be multiple users with separate PL tones on the frequencies.

Greene Twp DPW / plows

Elizabeth Twp DPW – roads / plows
155.025 / 153.785 repeater – 134 DPL ( KXQ738 )
For the past few weeks, and especially tonight (some snowfall) I have heard traffic on 155.025 with a DPL of 134. I knew they were a “street department” or township somewhere over in PA
Tonight I placed them, plowing roads past Trail View Convenience Store in Buena Vista, PA (Eliz Twp) and plowing up Rock Run.
It just so happens that the KXQ738 license specifically shows the township contact being on Rock Run Rd, and when I looked up Trail View there was the Trail View Convenience Store in Buena Vista.
When I first heard traffic on here it was just typical road department activities. Tonight I specifically heard them plowing snow.
NOTE: Yes, there is already a 155.025 listed in Allegheny for Tarentum PD (because there are multiple licenses on this freq in Allegheny). But this should be added and noted as a public works freq for Elizabeth Twp Roads.

LISBON – Back-up generators and security camera systems for public water supplies were some of the items purchased this year with Columbiana County’s annual allocation of federal Homeland Security grant money.
The county was awarded $108,212, of which all but $9,000 has been spent, according to Tin Long, deputy director of the Columbiana County Emergency Management Agency.
