463.250 PL 162.2 IDing as “KF8YF repeater, PL 162.2″
I think this guy is a tech at a radio shop over in Hancock Co. That doesn’t explain why he’s got a repeater IDing with a ham call on a business frequency. Good grief.
This transmitter is so strong from my location that it can be heard without an antenna on the handheld and is full scale even with the attenuator turned on.

NEW MARTINSVILLE – Concerns about noise, flight paths and even aesthetics filled the Wetzel County Hospital conference room Monday evening during a public meeting about the possibility of Air Evac EMS Inc. relocating from Ohio County to that facility.
The medical helicopter outfit has been stationed at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport since June 2008. Company officials said the decision to leave that base stems from overcrowding of the market. They claim too many medical helicopter services are operating in the area for its relatively low population density.

NEW MARTINSVILLE – Some questions and concerns about a medical helicopter company locating in Wetzel County were raised during a recent meeting between officials from Air EVAC Lifeteam and the Wetzel County Commission.
Andy Arthurs of Air EVAC Lifeteam spoke before the commissioners to provide more information about Air EVAC’s possible relocation near Wetzel County Hospital.
The medical helicopter outfit is currently stationed at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport. Air EVAC is in negotiations with Wetzel County Hospital for a possible site by the hospital for this medical air ambulance. To accommodate the medical helicopter there would be a hangar, office space and a mobile barrack that would house the personnel who are on-call 24 hours, seven days a week.

WHEELING – Air EVAC is leaving the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport because there are too many medical helicopter companies in the local market, a company spokesman said.
“The Wheeling area isn’t big enough, and there’s not a population to support all there are,” said Danny Marcum, project director for Air EVAC.
“It’s not because of competition or bad feelings. It’s simply because of the other aircraft that are serving the community. It’s not really about the number of calls. … There’s just not enough for the number of aircraft serving the area.”
